That's a silly phrase and I withdraw it.

I don't see him as a lethal finisher.

But a player who is not a great finisher can compensate by carving out more chances for themselves from which to score. Wellbeck's speed and mobility, for example means he will get chances that Giroud (a cleaner finisher) will not.

So in that sense, quality of finishing is little bit overrated.
