That said, I do like it when scouse dreams get derailed. I actually had a scouser a few years ago tell me he thought it was a disgrace the way the media went on about Anfield '89 because he felt it was 'disrespectful' to the Hillsborough victims. He was all but weeping when he asked 'Don't they realise how many hearts were broken that night? Don't they realise how much we needed to win it?' and went on to imply that Arsenal's win should be struck from the record books out of 'respect'.
