View Full Version : Been saying for a while that Oliver is the best ref out there and by a distance

also thought Danny Murphy was pretty decent in commentary. Rightly pointing out that yes it was a foul by Bellerin but that doesn't automatically make it a 2nd yellow. Pity he's incredibly monotone as actually made some decent points throughout the match

Ozil is rubbish because he doesn't try. Later, his effort's fine but his quality is lacking.

Mertesacker has started tentatively, missed several tackles and his distribution is awful. Later, the two centre backs have been magnificent, especially the much-maligned Mertesacker.

I remember Danny Murphy coming to play at Highbury, captain of his side, an experienced full England international, and Cesc took his pants down for him.

Cesc

Mind you, Murphy's punditry was like something from the planet Bigbrain compared to the lobotomised things in the studio. Shearer, Wright and Keane in oine room? It's a stupid-off, surely? If they'd added Savage into the mix the world may have imploded into a black hole of Stupid.

Tutting when he gave the ball away only for him to sprint after Rooney to win it back.

I kept waiting to worry about the inevitability of the equaliser, but it never felt inevitable. In fact, I thought we were going to score again.

Setanta said Di Maria got the yellow - hence we all thought that was why he got sent off. United fans pretty much fighting amongst themselves in the pub :cloud9:

Danny Murphy was probably better than Brian Little tbf

hear the commentary or co-commentary and am too distracted to care about bad camerawork.

Yesterday I watched at home and I have genuinely never seen a more shambolic sports production in my entire life. There must surely have been some first days at work?

As for Danny Murphy, it was like watching a game sitting next to a thick bloke down the pub who only has a passing interest in football.

I've actually lost all respect for PSRB for saying he was decent. If you think that, it pretty much means you must be stupid yourself. http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/ohwell.gif

Our record in recent years was a bit of a red herring, as we are going back to a time when they were regularly winning titles.

I like the way that Alexis, realising that Bellerin is vastly better looking than he is, is trying to interpose his chiselled torso between him and the camera in order to draw attention away from him.

Bellerin, on the other hand, has classical bone structure and great hair.

You clearly just like a bit of Indio rough.
