always felt he got away with that one. If he'd been stood up it'd have smacked him in the bollox (slight exaggeration)

Once in real time and then once a few years ago - I couldn't switch the channel in time.
From a psychological perspective it would probably be best for me to watch it several times until I've accepted it but I'm not ready for that yet. It's only been 16 years.
Same applies to the penalty miss..

That single moment could have changed so much.

Losing the CL Final (still never seen any highlights from that again, btw); Owen scoring two to steal the FA Cup; our now numerous multi-goal dickings by other top four clubs - none of it comes close to that f**king penalty miss.

A double for us more than likely, a retained double and all.

Equally no cup for them and the loss of momentum which perhaps may have resulted in no “that night in Barcelona” which we all love to continually be told about.

Owen in Cardiff was damned tough all the same.

In both above we were robbed, certainly the better side in both games.

In Paris it felt like simply a matter of time.

off. The Liverpool final was a sickener, though, I agree.

The fact that Ferguson apparently sent his team out in the CL final against Bayern with the words 'This lot are nowhere near as good as Arsenal' is particularly galling.
