It might not have guts in it, but it's still animaljuice, isn't it? Are the pasty f**kers suggesting it's wrong to eat animals' solid bits but the liquids are fine?

Oddballs.

Leather, for instance. Most of them seem to be happy to ignore the fact that it's animal skin, which seems a bit inconsistent to me.

Speaking personally, once I've been killed and skinned, I'm largely unbothered if you also fancy eating me.

Though I do think this song clarifies things a bit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fc_2BxVurM

Rennet is an animal product (from the stomach of cows/goats/sheep) and is used to make cheese. I suppose, since you have to kill the animal to get the rennet, the cheese now has a non veggie ingredient.

along.

*Although, of course, their consistency doesn't make their position any less stupid

Though it's basically cruel denying yourself tasty succulent meat for the rest of your life.

It's one bit of Morrissey I could never get on board with

Past about 35 and it's the signs of early onset midlife crisis.

This sort of thing, basically

The inconsistencies you seem to need the very concept you are undermining in order to have a kick bag for your own food hang ups...

Admittedly the evangelist vegetarian is thoroughly annoying. however, In an age of significant disaffection a little earnestness should be encouraged; and anyone who tries to take any form of dietary control of their life in any form is surely a good thing?

For my part I enjoy the discipline of foregoing meat as a regular part of my diet - it's a private choice, and that it means I am responsible for a little less cruelty is but a fortunate side dish. Over and above this, unless one can afford to avoid the output of industrialised food processes then being any form of non- meat eater is surely a preferable alternative to being the recipient of the disgusting unknown fodder that is sold to people in our supermarkets?

It is my experience that one only really feels English outside of England...
