He seems to me to be quite clearly their best creative player, a bit inconsistent perhaps, all this fuss about Barkley I don't think I've ever seen him have a decent game.

Not sure about Barkley at all, seen him have a couple of decent games but he just makes a lot of poor decisions, could be inexperience, could be he's just not very bright.....I suspect a bit of both

He strikes you as a sort of Ronaldo tribute act.
On Barkley he appears to have been massively overhyped on the basis of a few very special moments, I have never seen him control a game, he is capable of flashes but not particularly often.
Mind you Mesut seems to be a bit like that, albeit at a significantly higher level.

The second goal was a great pass but the corner was behind the attack and only scored thanks to some sublime agility from Giroud. Assist or no assist, I'm certainly not crediting the over hyped, lazy little bug eyed ******* for that..

For a dead language like French I'd imagine keeping it alive, at least in some form or other, is fairly essential.
