Is Little Chef still going? I used to love that ****. It's crap but it has it's charm

In Europe I've seen places like Autogrill and they are fantastic.

Are there any other Little Chef alternatives in the UK? I don't like the crappy service stations with a burger king in them.

bloke showed us to the table then took the order.
Then I saw him go in the kitchen and put on a chefs hat.

Then he put the food through on the hot plate/service window. took his chef hat off came out and picked up the plates and served us.

I don't know why he bothered with the hat. or putting it up on the service window.
