So Stan Collymore wants Rangers to be censored from TV for singing offensive songs. I presume he wants Celtic to be taken off TV too, though I haven't heard about that.

Much has been said about the right to be offensive in the context of cartoons. So why is it ok to offend Muslims, but not for Rangers and Celtic to offend each other? #McBants

I'm guessing the difference is that it's OK to object to someone expressing a view, but less OK to shoot them in the head for it. Or something. It seems awfully complicated, anyway.

point of view. I suspect it would be mostly grunts and feral utterances.

Can we not seek out and destroy prejudice whereever we see it? Why does 'whereever' have so many 'e's in it?

If we take the view that the expression of offensive and racist sentiments are illegal, then presumably the state should censor cartoons of Mo, on the grounds of them being gratuitously offensive and quite possibly racist.

If we believe in Free Speech at all then we must accept that it will include things we don't like.

All these professional victims need to chill the f**k out with their 'Ooh I'm offended.' It's ethnics, pooves and lefties who are the problem, mark my words a.

I'm not even sure if I agree with that on the basis it's hardly comparable with free speech.

I wish everyone would just concentrate on not being an arsehole. And yeah, people in glass houses etc etc

I also partuclarly like the way he keeps himself happy spouting utter barking nonsense and saves the state the cost of institutionalising him, because many mentals get violent or try to f**k everyone they see, so they have to be locked up you know.

wd mental commie bloke.

adequately internalized by the masses. After all, if individuals continued to be discriminated against on the basis of their race or gender, the proletariat could not easily be deluded into believing that capitalism possesses a meritocratic class structure.

tolerated or not by law, at which point the legality of free speech becomes an issue.

And on the business on just not being an arsehole, yes, it would be better if some Chelsea fans weren't still the racist scumbags they were so famous for being in the old days, and it would be nice if Man Utd fans could stop singing nasty things about Mr Wenger, and Arsenal fans should stop making assumptions about the profession of the mother of the Spurs manager and so on.
