View Full Version : That video of Chelsea fans on the train - looked to me like that they were just stopping

a man getting on an already crowded carriage who happened to be black.

Well, until they started singing "We're racist and that's the way we like it", anyway :-

But seriously, the reporting of the incident has been a little naughty, as it made it sound like they ejected a passenger already on the train, when in fact they simply did something that probably happens on busy train systems every day of the week.

day incident, and there was enough room for him to get on so the argument there wasn't any room is bull****.

Not massively sure "Viva Palestine" counts as abuse, but there you go

but not necessarily racist scum.

If it wasn't for that pesky song they'd have gotten away with it, imo.

as far as I am aware. I have not heard that they actually said something racist.

I guess pushing a man off a train could be considered a crime but given it was a busy train it's not a crime that would be worth pursuing, I wouldn't think.

Mind you, the nose might outweigh that.

I think it's probably worth mentioning at this point just how f**king awful a place Paris is. I used to regularly work there and I found it distinctly unloveable, especially as soon as you were away from the usual tourist bit.

Are you saying that they did other chants that actually were racist, though?

Well, I imagine with a name like Shoshanna se was anyway.

I wonder, were she to spend 10 hours walking in Paris as a sexy jew, would she get more abuse for her red sea pedestrianism or her gender.

Yes, Paris is notoriously inhospitable to outsiders. I'm sure someone cleverer than me has an explanation as to why.

Like us, they're usually in a hurry and stressed, but they're no mor impolite than Londoners. In fact, given that the French invariably have far better manners than the British, they're probably politer.

You should try doing it as someone who only did a year of french, and in one of the worst schools in London, at that.

There are no words, not in the English language anyway, to describe how preferable Spanish is.

slack-jawed yokel, j. But we who grew up in the Big City with the Roads and the Cars and the Buses and so on share a common language and don't feel we are impolite to each other.

I sat there and watched everyone else either ignore him or just watch and realised I didn't want to be here any more. Of course, I myself was just watching too. I needed to get out

Even the rest of France consider Parisians to be insufferably arrogant. Londoners might not be friendly but I don't think we are particularly rude. There are rules, you know. I had some Northerners on the tube carriage the other night. They talked loudly in Northern all the way to Euston. Now that's what I call bad manners.

I remember seeing the shoes as people physically stepped over me. Not a single person stopped to even ask if I was ok :hehe:

Walk into a shop in Paris and you will be greeted with a 'Bonjour Monsieur' and it will be expected that you greet the whole shop with a 'Messieurs 'dames'. When you are introduced to someone you will definitely shake his hand, no question. You will wish people a good day, weekend, stay or trip as appropriate to their condition.

French people who moan about Parisian arrogance are like English people moaning about Londoners. They are a) jealous and b) stupid.

Due to this very same problem. Complained to their Stewards a few times and been told to 'sit the f**k down'. Their behaviour is being aided and abetted by the club, as they refuse to do anything about them imo.

I'd be happy to put a bullet in the back of the head of everyone of those f**kers!!
