View Full Version : What's Deptford like? I have an opportunity to invest in a buy to let 1/2 bed apartment there.
New build, close to the big investments banks in Canary Wharf.
But it's rough as hell, isn't it?

Mostly that it's best not to venture out alone after dark.

I think you're best off not getting involved in the whole business. Stick to what you know.
Whatever that is

Got a DLR station and is close to New Cross which has decent trasnport links. Greenwich is only a short walk.
Lots of pubs which are mostly **** and lots of chicken shops. Considering the way property in South East London has gone up i would say its probably a decent investment.

Mandela Towers. I **** you not.
As such, the transport links are the biggest plus.
The only issue against is safety. People aren't going to want to come back from the pub to get stabbed, I wouldn't have thought.

You don't think I'd visit Deptford, do you?
Tell me, who do you know that lives in Deptford? I didn't think you mixed in those circles.

It is important to have an understanding of ordinary people, lest they one day rise up and try to take us down. Observing the proles is a matter of self-preservation.
