View Full Version : In all seriousness, I'm genuinely pleased we got United away. I think we need these kinds of

challenges if we're to progress as a club.

I might even go so far as to say that winning the cup having beaten United and Liverpool along the way might even be a worthwhile and meaningful endeavour :yikes:

It's going to put her off for life, isn't it?

Whenever I've been to Old Trafford I've always ended up right next to the away fans. It's horrible when they we lose :-(

She's been asking for years anyway, she'll enjoy it in the unlikely event we get a decent result

Is there not a significant risk she might get caught up in the fervour and end up cheering for United? :yikes:

No problem with that of course. I think the biggest obstacle to us progressing as a club is now the injury problems. The squad is very strong in most areas and if we can keep a reasonable amount of our players fit we should be capable of matching more or less snyone.

As long as we are having to patch up the first eleven most weeks we are never going to get anywhere. I honestly dont think chelsea could winnthe league with our injury situation.

Also, united are pretty ****.cwe should be comfortably capsble of beating them with a decent performance and this is a chance for the squad to get over what appears to be a mental block with united. Or maybe the mental block is just with the fans. Either way, a win there would be a huge boost.

You were joking about the kitchen aid then.

Save for Bellerin, who has done excellently, every player we are using as a patch is a fully fledged first team squad member.

Meant we had to spend 16m on Welbeck.

fluidity from game to game.

Ian Harvey always used to that that was more important to us than it is for others. You know, because of the way we play.

Good to have options though, I suppose.

I was simply urging Pedro to be less of a big f**king drama queen.

Our side is relatively settled at the moment yet in the eyes of many the catalysts for our recent performance improvements have been the 'patches' of Coquelin and Cazorla.

As much if not more than he probably would have achieved had he stayed in Manchester.

Decent squad acquisition.

Just as ox isnt really a central midfielder. Chambers have turned out in three positions this season.

Perhaps shuffling our first eleven is a better term than patching up. Related to red's point re fluency. We also dont seem to get much chance to actually rotate.cwe do it, but through necessity rather than choice. Some players are chronically overused for periods and end up out as soon as the others get back.

We dont seem to get to a stage where we have a fit squad and can make rational decisions to try and keep everyone fit. We often dont get the chance to pick a specific line up for a specific game.

It's all *******s really though; just give it to the Big Lad Upfront :-)

Give it to the other, slightly ****ter and not quite as big big lad?

Seems the obvious solution.

I gather it's why we built the Emirates.
