When Ms A was an A&E nurse she witnessed this scenario. A kind of giant pair of wire cutters / shears were produced to cut through the item and liberate the todger.

Talking of which, an acquaintance of mine was looking at wedding rings recently and was considering a titanium one (don't ask me why). He was put off this idea, however, when it was pointed out that if he ever had a medical emergency where his hand swelled up and required the removal of his ring, the only way to do it would be to cut his finger off, since titanium is so hard. :hehe:
