fact as a meaningful risk to health and, in fact, carbohydrates are the real problem when it comes to obesity.

Something people who have actually lost weight successfully have known for f**king years, in other words.

on blaming one or the other.

The answer to the problem is a balanced, reasonable diet, with all types of food eaten in moderation, but sadly people lack the imagination to comprehend this most simple of truths.

The kind of ranting didact who insists on trying to tell me what I should or shouldn't eat gets short shrift from me. And I'm built like a racing snake and stand as living proof of the efficacy of my method.

I would strongly suspect that your consumption of complex carbohydrates has absolutely plummeted in the time since you've been dieting and that that has had a positive effect. Of course balance is the way forward, but in terms of effecting immediate weight loss, cutting back severely on carbohydrates is much the most effective method.

Don't tell me about my diet, man. My diet is my diet. It is a private diet, a personal diet. I put it in MY mouth and it comes out of MY arse.

Get your finger OUT of my ****.

It's not as simple as calories.

Basically, sugar is very probably the most harmful substance we all consume on a daily basis.

but more damagingly, it gets stored as fatty acid, and ultimately ends up as triglyceride in fat cells. This is a one-way metabolic street because when your body turns glucose into fat, you can’t turn that fat back into glycogen.

In my experience people's diets change quite drastically as they get older.

Also, as a man, you release less testosterone, which means lean muscle turns to fat and burns energy less effectively, etc, etc.

Basically, you start dying at about 30 and all the dieting in the world won't change that.
