Which is fair enough. He isnt suited to the role he was forced into yesterday but he looked ok.

which accounted for the difference in our ability to keep the ball in the two games.

We weren't good enough to do what needed to be done to get a result yesterday, but I don't think there needs to be any great inquest.

We will always have mixed results at the Lane while they are a decent side and fighting with us in the table.

Wenger should have seen this and picked a team to play the game on the day, not the game we won at City.

I accept it is the way they train and prepare and we do things differently. The team we fielded yesterday was going to struggle. Wellbeck constantly lost the ball and ozil looked uncomfortable having to chase back all the time. They both worked hard but are not suited to that role.

Disappointed rosicky didnt start. Spurs are a bit acared of him and he uses the ball superbly.

No great inquest but we need to start looking at that central misfield in the summer. Ramsey is just doing the job and jack is even worse. Would love to see a top quality, balanced midfielder in there who can do a bit of everything.

time we've struggled there.

Then again, their form at the Emirates hasn't been much better.

Who'd have thought it: two teams regularly fighting for fourth place having mixed results against each other?

Sanchez would probably have been on the bench.

Ben.

At least two forward players need to be able to run in behind, too many slow players just encourages more pressure on the ball, the same thing happened when Everton spanked us last season.
With Sanchez and Walcott in the team we will be able to give them far more problems.

I think the concern is that in very good form we got played off the pitch.

That was not a game between two evenly matched teams. It was a 90minute slaughter.

Its a bit rich to blame the fans for going on about injuries. And absurd to suggest that wenger is letting the fans make decisions about fitness.

Silly post.

What difference would Alexis have made, difficult to tell.

so we can at least relax until then.

Well, not "relax", but you know...

Or maybe 3-1, for some reason.

Also, he could have got injured.

At what point did liverpool and spurs start seeing it as their best chance of qualifying?

I will be honest, i am less worried about the top four than previously. Now we are not facing financial ruin if we miss out i dont think one year out would be that bad.

Cheer up. We might win the FA Cup again.

Back next year.

I would prefer a good run in the champions league, maybe get to the semi finals. That would be exciting :-)

we know that top four and one of them domestic cup thingies is probably the best we can hope for.

Hopefully that will changein the coming years as the footballing landscape little bit changes in our favour and we can afford to keep our best players and buy a few more top, top ones.

Two defensive midfielders? Against Spurs? They're not Chelsea.

It was arguably our worst attacking performance of the season and we've had a few.
