They were fitter, stronger and hungrier. Every one of our five forwards playErs was completely dominated by his opponent and was harried or bustled out of possession within a split second. There is no way to cope defensively when you are so comprehensively outplayed for 90 minutes.

That is the way they play and the way they set up. They are going to be fitter than us. They also lack quality and thank f**k for that. With quality that would have been 5 or 6-1.

We do things differently. Had sanchez and ox been playing we might have competed a little better. With a stronger midfielder alongside coquelin (who did well) we may have been able to defend a bit higher.

We will always have this problem against teams who set up like this. Fortunately it isnt something you can just decide to do one week. You have to prepare physically and tactically all season to produce this football. Most teams dont.

Look forward to struggling against spurs in every game as long as this guy is in charge. We just cant cope with it.

Just invited them onto us. It was like the 88th minute from 15 mins onwards. Ramsey and Cazorla were overwhelmed, as the lack of cover on the wings let Spurs push up high. Needed Walcott's pace to unlock that, not fancy knock downs and flicks from Giroud and Ozil. 23 shots, we are lucky we weren't staring down at 4-1 or worse. Wrong tactics today, and no urgency to change it.
