Now, this plane crash in Taiwan. What's that all about then?

so don't expect it to slide too much

Obviously it's lost a donk on take off and the lads in the sharp end failed to retain vmca.

It's no surprise, really. The standards of training for flight crew in the rapidly-expanding Asian low-cost carrier market is a major cause for concern all round.

But it IS something of a safe haven from Eurozone uncertainty, isn't it? So by springtime, when the Greeks have wound their necks in a bit, we might see sentiment (and money) flooding back to the euro.

Just when I get a job that involves travelling to the Far East. :-(

Or at least that's what my westminster source is predicting.

Personally I think it'll end up a nightmare coalition of Tories and UKIP.

A c**talition, if you will

But what they're doing in the Far East at the moment is scary.

They've got junior first officers who are paying the airline for a job, so candidates aren't being chosen for proficiency, but by their ability to pay.

Think Labour has put a real poster boy up to run against him - could be very interesting. Clegg is actually still quite popular with a lot of people there though from what I can gather

no mention of the Greens. Must admit I'd forgotten about the loan thing. That will cost him as much as anything

While I accept the student factor means an element of unpredictability can't see them going 919 votes to a majority somehow

Given the large scale voter apathy in the UK I don't think any policy that leads to further disenfranchisement is a good thing.

"I feel disenfranchised because I was too lazy/ignorant/uninterested to get my arse registered to vote"

To which the only sensible answer is "Good", I'd have thought. Why on earth would we want people voting who don't even know you're supposed to get registered to do so?

Maybe I shouldve couched it in the same qualifications I did with my LD friend thinking they have a chance.

you're just a thought away and don't need the plane, and who are you meeting with anyway...
