I presume that was a clever little self-parody there. Too bad no-one gave you credit. I mean, obviously it's absurd to hold the system of monarchical rule in contempt - BUT ONLY IN THIS COUNTRY - while being cool and dandy with furrin monarchism.

Besides anything else, it's not like all the European royal houses were interlinked. Not as if we'd been ruled by Hanoverians or Saxe-Coburg and Gothas or anyfink like that.

I mostly like them as they're featured in some fantastic portraiture, for instance have you seen Rudolph as Vertumnus? More than a touch of Peter Gabriel there.

Speaking of The Sweeney, we watched the modern fillum the other week. Apart from it being crap, the bloke in the passenger seat in the opening sequence was our next door neighbour. I don't think he gets much work, poor fella.
