I'd take him away for a boys weekend, just you and him, think of it as a stag do with stabilisers.

He may decline, it could be his idea of hell what with him being 16.

What would be fundamentally wrong would be the idea of t-shirts etc which you have quite casually thrown out there. Unless of course your stag night is actually a hen night.

Why is there always some joyless f**ker who wants to ruin a party by introducing 'activities'?

It didn't go down too well but I formed a splinter group who all got a cab up to York.

What type of c**t voluntarily rides a pedal bike for a long distance up hill?

We were more the provincial wing of the stag do, which also didn't go down to well with the many, many ulster unionists in the group

I haven't cycled at all since I outgrew it at the proper age (about 11), so would honestly not have been able to take part in such an event even if I didn't regard it as genuine torture.

Planned in a way to try and keep people out of the pub all day, in itself bizarre given what the event is.

I have never attended an Irish stag with an activity other than getting up, then again I have not had the pleasure of a stag in almost 10 years.

I? You'd have to be a right c**t to do that to people unless you knoew they were all into cycling.

inexperienced drinkers would go off at a tremendous speed and then be incapable by about 4 in the afternoon. Still for me, it's better just to start the thing later on, surely?

Off to Ibiza for a stag do? That's not a stag do, that's a holiday. I've heard of chaps going to Vegas. For a stag do.

In my day you went out on a Friday night and got monumentally pissed, then had a curry. It served perfectly well.

I was that over eager young buck once, spasticated by 5pm in Dungarvan to retire to bed and waken the next morning in bed with a prawn cocktail and steak sandwich. Quite a mess, f**k knows what housekeeping thought I had done.

Last two I was on I declined the two night approach, arriving at a time on day 2 that suited me and of course with a personal stash of things to allow me to party all night.

Last one was in London actually, we ended up in Fabric in Farringdon until about 7am.
