At least judging by your profile pic, are you more of a Soundgarden man, P?

Streaming on The Guardian website if giving them hits does not offend your principles.

Your interest in them at an early stage stands to your credit.

Anyway, I know it's not really part of the narrative but GNR and Metallica did a great deal more to signal the end of that ridicules era than grunge ever did.

when I was a teenager it was Nirvana and that sort of ****.

Then I had my metal phase. Pantera, Metallica, Slayer.

Then I went a bit Oasis and similar. Then mainstream pop and hip hop.

Now I listen to all sorts.

I saw them at Reading once, the year Nirvana played.

My interest in the festival was largely elsewhere.

If Mark Arm looked like Kurt Cobain we'd all still be talking about them now

The letter was sent to me by the frenchman to tell me that he had shagged my girlfriend at the time, and that she would leave me for him. I later discovered that this bloke was a pal of said drummer who agreed to translate for him.

Needless to say I had the last laugh because she didn't leave me - although the relationship never quite recovered from that leetle setback.

Toys in the Attic Aerosmith I'm infinitely down with, Love in an Elevator Aerosmith less so.

Presumably you hold Sabbath up there with the very best, else it's best to probably leave things here.

I went into my profile for the first time in many years.

Apart from early aerosmith, appetite for destruction and perhaps some ac/dc because they are hilarious.

As well.

Sabbath but only with ozzy and even then i am not keen on technical ecstacy.

Black Sabbath, paranoid, bloody sabbath, volume 4 and the criminally underrated sabotage. Absolutely superb.
