Well league game

we had three players completely surrounding Silva, they were still desperately trying to get it through to him.
They needed another creative option, plan B seemed to be Zabaleta, Navas and Milner were very poor.

We did a job on Silva and it worked very well.

Despite City dominating possession and territory, I don't recall Ospina having too much to do.

was a good time to play them as it turned out, no Nasri or Toure and Kompany and Aguero are clearly not match fit.
We just let Fernando and Fernandinho have the ball, closing off the pass/angles, worked really well.
I think perhaps that showed why Arsene wants someone more creative in that role (Arteta) and not just a big lump.

maybe in big games away from home but he should really have changed one at half time.
Think fat Frank was the only option with no Yaya/Nasri, unless they moved Milner centrally.

It didn't work for them, we deserve a lot of credit for how we played.

The two Fernandos played in midfield for them away in Rome recently when they won to qualify for the knock-out stages. The assembled crew of Sky pundits hailed the formation and duo as the blueprint for how City must play in Europe from now on if they have any realistic ambition to win the trophy.

Similar to how yesterday has been seen as the blueprint for us from now until May.

considering they can only play on the counter attack, hence their ****ness at home.
Having said that you'd expect to win come what may.

Personally I was ****ting myself when Fat F**** came on as, despite his overall ineptness, I had a feeling he'd pop up and scuff won in and run away pointing at the sky.

We could have 29% and win 1-0 and not a single jot would I care.

It’s what the team does with said possession that counts. We have dominated in this sense in the past and not won and the frustration spills out the next day, “we had xx% of play”. Similarly they did yesterday but did close to f**k all of value with it.

Conceding possession in harmless areas of the pitch has been the blueprint that Mourinho has used for years in games where he wants first and foremost for his Chelsea team to not lose, he is then held up as a tactical genius for doing so.

Nearly went up the arse of the car in front of me at lights when I was looking at my phone so see who had got the second goal.

There was an 'atmosphere' in the car for the duration.

Unbelievable long diagonal pass, late arrival into the box, no-neck Ospina falling backwards.

Thankfully it wasn't to be.
