Anyway, the fact we knew we'd need a CB since August and we still haven't signed one half way through the transfer window is shocking imo. Potential targets should've been identified and moves made by now. Winston Reid for example, if he is a target there's a fair chance West Ham would take a decent amount for him now rather than him go on a free in 6 months time.

We should be looking at someone who would first choice, if we have the money, although it will be difficult in January and the liklihood is we will end up with a Silvestre/Squillaci stop gap.

his form this season has been poor. If that was his intention then what he says makes sense, but we know he's only looking to bring in a Squillaci type and is talking like average centre backs are rarer than rocking horse ****.
