And it's not very good. I think it's made up bull****. Can you find out who is behind this nonsense?

autobiography. Very good, it is.

I also have David Attenborough's autobiography to read while I'm in Thailand.

A 10+ minute chat would then ensue on all things Arsenal related.

He would then ask me what I wanted, how long my note of absence from work should be then would charge me about half the normal rate per visit in the vain hope that one day I would actually grant him a ticket.

It was a huge waste of time.

Had I known the same GP about 20 years ago then each night we would have partied like it was 1999.

Truth be told he was a f**king eejit of the very highest level.

We reached our nadir after one visit where I had a lump in my throat. One which should not really have been there.

His professional advice, after leaving the room to consult another GP in the practice, was to go home and squeeze some freshly cut lemon under my tongue. Yes, you do not have to read that again.

Not entirely happy with this advice I asked my brother, a then Consultant Oncologist, and lo and behold within 3-4 weeks I was under the knife.

Freshly squeezed lemon my hole, as such.

Office mode is switched on.

Reach out to me*.

* I don't really know what that one means but have noticed it on the increase

What is it about "inspirational" stuff that gets cretins all moist? Personally I find it eats away at the soul and makes me feel depressed.

I basically had to tell the clueless c**t in A&E after I'd been referred to the hospital that I probably had testicular cancer. This after he'd grilled me rather rudely for about 15 minutes on my sex life because he thought I had an STD. He kept asking me if I'd been unfaithful to my then partner and looked frankly disbelieving when I said 'no' (which was still true back then). He then started suggesting my then partner had been sleeping around and I pointed out to him that - even were this the case - asking me about it was pretty f**king pointless, since I was quite literally the last person she'd tell. He grudgingly accepted this and, when I suggested cancer his eyes lit up and he finally referred me to someone competent.

It's the only way with anything other than senior doctors. You've got to assume the worst and make them proceed on that basis or you'll be dead in no time. Useless f**kers.

Some kind of lump, I assume? Surely that screams 'cancer'?

Otherwise, what the f**k are we all supposed to be checking for in the showers?

Berni

So you'd have thought it would be pretty f**king obvious, but apparently not.

The growth occurred quite rapidly, I take it?

Berni

I first noticed it in February, hoped it would go away (I know) and then finally got to my GP in April when it became clear it wasn't going anywhere.

For the record, my GP was pretty good and I think was fairly sure it was cancer - hence packing me off to the hospital that quickly.

there. This turned out to be possibly a very good idea, since apparently quite a lot of them leaked silicone.
