Spurs - regularly sack their managers, including won who finished 4th and appoint the most fashionable name in Europe. Disasterous. Lost their best player, wasted all the money on **** (probably increased their wage bill too). ****

Man Utd - Lose the most succesful manager ever, replace him with an experienced PL manager, give him loads of money to spend. Drop out of the top 4 in the next season. Then blame the manager, replace him with a top top name clive, give him an astronomical amount to spend, and he ends up with the same points as his failure predecessor.

Aside from Athletico Madrid, there aren't many clubs the SFC brigade can use as an example of how it could e done better

The Spurs scenario is interesting, you basically laugh at them but they find themselves only 2(?) points behind us... so either they are doing a lot better than you make out, or we are doing worse.

You also judge Man U on points gained this season compared to last... the fact they are the same but they are now in 4 th place suggests they have more reson to be happy than us , considering we spent a reasonable amount in the summer and are a lot worse off (points and position) wise than last season.
