We have limits on what expressions we would tolerate, so freedom of expression is not absolute. What expressions we allow are partly rooted in values and background, partly by our human nature.

If so, I think it is a good point.

Still, I think that threats of murder and actual killings against people who say, write or draw things you do not like is unacceptable. To allow certain groups to impose their views on what is acceptable through violence is not how it should be.

That being said I wish the satire and criticism of Islam would be of a higher quality sometimes. The first (Danish) caricatures were of a poor quality (in my opinion) and had no other intention than to offend. Of course, it is their right to offend and to publish whatever they like, but newspapers do not have to print it just because it is controversiel. It would be more constructive if it was actually any good and made people think.

Like I said the other day, I would have liked to see something similar to "Life of Brian" made about Islam.
