Wasn't as nice as I thought it would be.

Even the tramps were better dressed than me and they could never spell my name.
Also, the not speaking french business made it virtually impossible.

which is a shame because the Louvre (ignoring the silly pyramid) is truly one of the finest places on Earth to waste a few hours

from him two minutes before he appeared, so omnipresent was his aroma.
Other than that, it's nice. Overpriced and a tourist trap, but so's London.

Not been up to much. Who'd have thought 3 kids would keep one so busy?
How're you? Still in the Fatherland?
Stopped moaning really. I've been saying the same thing for the past 5 years. Even I'm f**king bored with it now.
Hoping that by going in Feb I'll be avoiding the hordes of stag/hen does that I understand frequent the place.

though two weeks home at Christmas has left me a bit homesick. Mainly for the Woodbine and the Emirates tbh. Hopefully we might play another game on a Saturday by the end of the season so I can get back to it

Had some great times in Czecho back then, though. Lived like kings on about 25 quid a week. And was pleasantly surprised by the women, having been brought up on cold war propaganda that they were all built like East German shotputters. :cloud9:
Pleasant as a city, though?

but get to some of the less obvious areas - The Jewish Cemetery for instance, you might learn something. And you can't fail to have good beer :lager:
Also check out if O'Che's is still there - the only Irish-Cuban bar I have ever been to

It was one of the greatest cities of the Austro-Hungarian empire, so as you'd expect it's fairly grand in places.
no shortage of bars to warm up in?
Do they have German style beer halls in the Czech Republic or is it strictly a German thing?

like you're in a cheese shop.
I understand it's the hops that they're famed for, is it not?

Wish I hadn't asked now.
so not sure a strip club will be on the agenda. But it was nice of you to think of me.
What are the rules there on prostitution? I understand that tehre is a similar sex area to the one in Amsterdam.
