up twice to cost your team a point, I'd suggest waiting until you are in the privacy of your home.

If it's true then I hope he's played his last game for Arsenal. What a c**t.

To be honest I hope it's true and he is dropped as I don't like him.

And got blasted for it afterwards and needed to calm himself down....having a smoke is fine imo.

However I think everyone's missed the point and its that its hiding a deeper problem...he's clearly an active smoker which is wrong for a professional athlete...even worse when he's had serious weight issues in the past.

The culture in the club amongst the younger players is all wrong....it's like one big fkin party.

Wenger should be more sensitive to these issues imo.

like a knob (the selfie on the pitch against Tottenham being an example). You can't praise him for being a **** one minute and then castigate him for equally knobbish behaviour the next. He's just a knob and always has been.

Someone will clatter Alexis in training for that, I reckon. And quite right, too. Disgusting behaviour.

when he was putting in a series of poor performances and his dad spoke out. His ankle was busted and couldn't train...he was unfit but Arsene kept on playing him.

Has to be old Mathieu, doesn't it?

He'll probably bend over Alexis as he writhes in agony and sneer that he'll take his eyes out next time :-(

And I say that in full acknowledgement of the date.

The bloke has always been a knob as you say, displaying all the arrogance and character traits that would be loathsome in a person if they were not an employee of Arsenal Football Club.

I have seen ex-employees of the club who obviously know the chap better than any of us could ever wish to (referring to those who would actually like to know him) be very critical of his character and behaviour, referencing his activities on social media for example.

Still a decent keeper, probably the best at the club (I know little of the other fella) though I find this story from the Southampton game to be incredible. In any other professional career such an action would be seen as gross misconduct and a serious affront and general two fingers to management.

Then there is the basic premise of stupidity, smoking in a shower. I assume he held his arm outstretched as I had to when my arm was encased in plaster of paris. Not even a bath, who hasn’t enjoyed a glass of wine or beer while in a bath for example. A shower ffs.

Interestingly, though, Almunia, despite being a truly terrible goalkeeper, seemed like rather a nice chap.

I am sure a lot more players do than we know about.... the amount of booze they consume has got to be as big an issue
