He is too subtle at times for the dullards. The only complaint I have of his show is that not enough time is given to his interviews. I would rather have less time givenon the humour pieces. The same goes for the Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Do you know, he STILL can't name what conservativism got right?

We just got through adding definitively that (what a shock) torture is ineffective to the long list of things they were wrong about.

Colbert's humor is where he made his points though. And they were soooo good.

As for his Press Dinner in the Bush era, he deserves the Congressional Medal of Honor for that. That took courage and changed the discourse.

it "for balance." When the whole effing point was that it was the extreme usage of it. Case in point, the fillibuster. Colbert at least put the repub usage of it in historical context whereas JS did his old "both sides do it" mamby pamby thing.

I am, ftr, fed up with mamby pamby Democrats.
