Fantastic news imo. Hopefully the car won't be ****.

touch that Brawn GP car.

It's all about the Hamilton Rosberg partnership at The Silver Arrow.

Vettel being the obvious example.
F1 bores the tits out of me. It's all so monotonous and reliant on engines, pit stops and tyres.
Only eclipsed in its dullness by test match cricket and snooker

The 09 brawn was only quickest in the first half of the season. Others had overtaken them by the end. He made the most of the car when it was quick and scored decent points when it wasn't, and destroyed Barrichello in the process.

He stood up to WDC Hamilton over three years together, beat up WDC Villeneauve, and is acknowledged as the best driver out there in changing conditions.

His weakness is that he's not the quickest in qualifying (for which no points are handed out) and not getting anything out of dog**** cars, which is what Alonso and Hamilton can do and why they are the best. His racecraft and clean overtaking are as good as anyone's.

As Billy says, Prodromou is there now who has identified what was wrong with the aero, and reports from the sim is that next year's car should quite a bit quicker - if the Honda powerplant is any good, which is the main worry for 2015 imo. 2016 might be their year.

I'll never understand why people on here have to kunt off sports they have no interest in, and no understanding of.

Anyway, the fact that it is 80% car and 20% driver is what allows F1 fans to argue endlessly about how good each driver is.

I am supposed to be writing about it - haven't seen any of the races yet though

He's just come out of a coma.. I'm no Dr, so I neither of us can assess his longer term recovery prospects.

Even accepting your point, that doesn't address what I was saying about the spectacle. It's almost as if you're justifying it's dullness by citing Bianchi's crash ( which was the first in over 20 years ) as an incentive to watch..

the cars have to run on low power even to make half way so bursts of speed..no noise..looks and sounds ****e ..they had one decent crash on one race so they just show that. i tried electric go-karts last year..they too are ****e. cars about noise and smell and power not yogurt weaving hippy crap imo ..ban it

sanitised. You are the one complaining about 'sanitised' racing. Perhaps you can explain what you mean, if not danger to the drivers.

Anyway, some of the racing has been great this year. The worst years recently were the Schumacher processions.

where you wouldn't expect overtakes. Guys came through the field from the back to finish high in the points.

Never mind Snin's ravings, the squeal and whine of the motors makes a change, and allows races in cities without people getting the hump about the noise, and if people don't have to travel far to see a race, then less energy is consumed blah blah.

The car change is a bit wierd, but it's no so different to a driver change in endurance racing really, though sometimes the commentator forgets that when driver X's car had a problem early on the race, he's not actually driving it any more.

Only thing I didn't like was the ridicules power boost for the driver getting the most votes for it on Twitter. That alone tempts me to refuse to watch the series. :shout:

All the same, I might wander over to Battersea Park when it comes here - providing it doesn't clash with the football, of course.

My word. Think the London race is the last one in June so shouldn't clash any football - Europa League qualifier maybe

2013 being arguably *the* most one sided season ever.

Not even Chelsea haven't managed to do that

Luis Anaconda

Hardly one-sided that year

It certainly has its contradictions, too, and its fans like to moan as much as football fans. That said, 2013 was the only truly bad year of the Vettel show, I think.
