those who want him out as being angry purely because we've not won a trophy since last May.

To maintain the moral and intellectual high ground, we owe it to each other to avoid such mimicry.

their arguements.

'Spend some money!' Done.

'Win a trophy!' Done.

'Still moaning!'

I was clearly thinking in terms of the 'vacuous argument' cliche, and cliches are better avoided, I usually feel.

Next time I will try to do better. Thank you for this timely reveille!

such goalpost shifting.

The challenge for us is not to discredit the kind of person that would shout abuse at Wenger in public. Their actions (and appearance) does that for us.

Instead, we should focus on dismantling the more credible arguments in favour of Wenger leaving (of which I am happy to admit there are many).

who, in fact, all want the same thing but don't know how best to achieve it deeply tiring. Especially given that neither camp would advocate Wenger still being our manager in, say, six or seven year's time. It all just feels so very futile :-(

never used a big, long poncy posh word when a simple one would do.

'vacuity' were used more, it would not be seen as poncey.

Oh and when did Orwell become the doyen of prose style, by the way? The big lefty streak of tubercular piss.

It is especially helpful when reading in French translation.

Are you actually suggesting that anything said on here makes the slightest bit of difference to Stan Kronke?

Write it 50 times until you know it.

There is no point learning to speak the Queen's English and then destroying it with Americanisms. Look what that did to America.

I'm disappointed in you, splenda.

a word-Brit is the mark of a fraud and an imposter.

At least in this way I distinguish myself from pure-bred proper Brits like you, and you can derive a certain enjoyment in my sullying myself with the American English. It's a way for you to set yourself apart and claim a moral superiority and I know you like that! You should be grateful.
