View Full Version : If AW was to depart, how much time would the angries give the new man?

And would the calcified divisions in the fan base continue with both sides I-told-you-so-ing with every up and downturn?

One of the lesser lights like Pep or Klopp, from one of the little leagues, would I imaging get much less time.

I mean, as long as we won every match by a couple of goals they'd be happy.

see why he'd do it with what may or may not be his final professional contract.

I think and hope that he's around for another couple of years. Least not because it'll prove that the Arsene Out brigade were wrong and were embarrassing themselves all along.

The sad thing about the current scenario is the predictability of it all.
It's all going to end in bitterness and acrimony :-(

all the scum would f**k off back to Chelsea too or just work longer in the city in the eves rather than rolling down to the emirates on a jolly up for classic bantz

He was the man keeping Charlton a solid mid-table Premiership club until he was hounded out and they plummeted down the leagues.

Past achievements are a waste of time in a cut throat business like commercial sport rich.
Patience is a virtue but it generally only extends to those new in the job.

They're basically where we are now except for top 3, and winning the qualifier from 4th is basically the same thing.

Ok, so the challenge collapsed a bit early but we were up there for most of the season. The FA Cup seems to have expired though.

We were top of the league for a while, November or December champions if you will.

We were out of it when the business really got going.

You'll only know when he's gone and you see a decline in our league finishes and CL success.

He's not let you down in any of the last 18 seasons (I think it's 18) so what makes you think he will now.

Trust in him - he's been loyal to Arsenal. The fans need to be loyal to him. Saying unpleasant things and calling for his head has a negative effect on the team. What do you think the players think?

Do yourself a favour, have a think about the crap that pours from your mouth and grow up.

trying a new direction..to progress ones way over a mountain one must sometimes reverse the progress, retreat and try a different direction..its still progress even when one is going backwards as forwards had slowed so much plus completiton of the task of climbing the mountain is impossible so to progress one must retreat.

ps i managed to buy a thai stick on saturday or as close as damn it to it :smokin:

Re capping on teh past is no guarantee of future success. Had you have lived a little longer, you'd come to appreciate the realities of performance related jobs.
Thankfully for you, you find yourself in the NHS, so you may never be exposed to performance related pay or culpability in quite the same way.

Wasn't much of a challenge, tbf. I was using the term in a fairly broad sense.

AW's problem at the moment is that this team is currently less than the sum of its parts. That and his gamble on not getting injuries to his defenders.

.
Six years as a player, nine years as a players, he was just as much an Arsenal man as Wenger or any figure in the club's history and he left in appalling circumstances after a similar decline to a once-great team.

The club is bigger than the man. Yes, even Wenger.

I genuinely thought my old man was taking the piss on Saturday when he told me it was 3-0.

Semi-drink MOTD analysis of goals 2 and 3 had one just shaking one’s head, though to be fair to the lad the second was finished nicely. A quick scan of the substitutes bench saw my attention dwell on two names that I don’t think I have ever come across in my life.

Yet still, amid the disaster we find ourselves in, we are but a few points off the top 4.

Not aware of his actual name, though. Looks like we might to see them play against Galatasary.
