He reminds me of the Wizard of Oz. In the end he is just a regular guy hiding behind a curtain. The story is so simple year after year. 'Strengthen the defense Arsene, thast where we keep getting hurt'. The fans are saying it, ex pros are saying it. Alex Ferguson said it, yet Arsene ignores it year after year after year. Scraping 4th is ok but remember there are only 2 or 3 clubs capable of that 4th position (outside the obvious top 3 clubs) so in reality it is not that big a deal or achievement when you consider the resources at his disposal.
