Or even something so devoid of interest as to make it quirky.

No middle ground.

I don't know where to start as usual. I feel old.

Music journalists tend to be utter ****ers and I never visit an artist/group site.

Not that that in anyway invalidates your point

...it must be a very strange place being in a dying industry which focusses on another dying industry.

Please don't think I'm being beastly about journalists, who I believe have a pretty ****ty end of the modern stick, but it has to leave its mark.

I would flick through sections of some newspaper media such as the Guardian, Sunday Times, Observer and more often than not would not get to the end of the piece as the journalist has disappeared up his own anus.

In reality it is probably a fear of them permeating my anti-intellectual comfort zone.

Ultimately their reviews are simply opinion and of course many people will differ.

I know some superbly talented people who can't even get freelance work while such sites as the Bleacher Report thrive. Not entirely sure how this is a boon to society but there you go. I am thinking of retraining as a PPI salesman - any future in that, do you think?

Any time I have been in your company I have left thinking drunken lazy workshy fop.

In no way is that, or should it be read as, an insult.
