There isnt one. Fans think a variety of things. Is arsene expected to listen to them all?

Of course not.

Or take any respinsibility for taking the ball out of the back four.

Ramsey was in hiding on saturday. Three times when the ball dropped in the back four i spotted him trot forwards to the inside right space.

Scared of the ball. And arteta takes the blame.

I would lock Ramsey in the dressing room and kick **** out of him for a number of his displays this season.

He seems to think he is. I cant quite get my head around the sheer range of his form. World beater one year, pub player the next. And a bad pub player at that.

He just had a decent season and some of the mistakes that he is making this season were also being made last season, but he was scoring which quite often allows other issues within a players game to be overlooked.

start with all the "young inconsistent" player bull****, especially when he just had 18 months of being consistently good. He's 24 in 4 weeks, he shouldn't be as inconsistent as he is at that age and with the amount of experience he has.

I'd be interested to know what Monty's cut off point is for his "he's only [insert age]" excuse.

What would the fan reaction have been if he had sold the Welsher to make way for Cesc? And what do you think the fans would have wanted him to do looking back at it now?

It's a funny old game, Brian.

what they're supposed to be doing by then, they never will. Not up to a decent standard anyway.

Footballers must have a similarly limited timeframe, although it's harder to determine as it's a team game.

I cant be arsed to go the archives, if they are intact that is...
but it went something like this... Ramsey would become a worldclass player.. hopefully with us...

Very vivid in my memories..Mind you I was cross with myself at that time for failing to recognise a world class football player...

Saying someone is playing **** is not a criticism. It is an observation. The criticism is in the explanation.

Saying someone is playing **** because they are mentally weak or are a fundamentally bad footballer is a criticism.

I have not seen any explanation offered.

We have him, we have Wilshere, we have Chamberlain, we have Ozil, we had just taken in Sanchez.

As it stands I don't think he has yet reconciled himself with how best to employ all these players. The general conscensus among those people that have never coached a day in their life is that probably a deeper lying midfielder with one of the two young British bucks, but that's not going to work now is it, pissing off the other player who is left on the sideline.

Factor in Cesc who would have arrived back in N5 as a footballing prodigal son and correctly would have expected to play every week (as indeed do most of the players I have named already, plus others).

Simply did not add up.

I love Aaron in a way that I don't tend to love footballers and yes I always defended him back when the vast majority of supporters were on his back.

I still maintain he has the potential to become a top class midfielder, but in order to do so he has to recognise the role he plays and learn the basic fact of midfield play, that being more often than not the simple route is the best route.

He took huge steps forward last season but he still had a lot to learn. You don't become top class in one season, you simply had a good season.

He appears to have gone backwards and again is in the sights of the supporters who want to shout at somebody.

Goals change a lot though in the mind of most. Welbeck scored a few early on and was deemed to be brilliant, we laughed at what a mistake United had made allowing him to join us. You will probably find a lot of people now waning on that view.

Aaron got a few early in the season and he was again Super Aaron, but he wasn't really playing well.

add to the fact he has been easily dispossessed at crucial stages and not to forget his lack of pace, there isnt anything currently that would put him into a top ten prem club today...He would do well to move into a club like Everton.

I would suggest your summation of him to be a little over critical.

He was being farcically linked by the media to Bayern Munich last season and now you have him as not being good enough for a decent PL side.

(anywhere, really) behind Alexis, Welbz and Olivier and possibly Theo too. Plus our new Christmas forward.

Or as Paddy, Petit and Gilberto would no doubt put it, hold your positions, back with the under 5s, and leave the goalscoring to the grown-ups.

With things the way they've been over the past few seasons though, this will naturally take them some getting used to.
