keep the beers they buy from the brewer, tbh.

Variety is a good thing - so I'd welcome additional beers rather than replacements.

I wouldn't be seen dead in one of those ghastly establishments.

I am not yet a desperate old man, anaesthetising myself against the hideousness of existence with warm, flat dishwater. Not yet.

If it were being regulated now it'd be a class a substance.

Brewers can hardly be blamed if these people insist on stampeding towards sclerosis of the liver..
It's high time they legalised cannabis too :-)

I don't why no political party is going for the legalisation of cannabis argument for the next election, it would clearly get them a 5-15% bump in voters, largely from those who wouldn't vote anyway. I can't see it doing anywhere near that much damage to their ratings.

I mean, they've managed it in five US states so far

There's a narrative to comply with here.

The only plus sides are the availability and social acceptance.

I mean, it's more socially acceptable than smoking, which is frankly bonkers.

The idea is to alter your state of consciousness until you feel better. For some people, that takes more than others. Equally, some people want to feel reeeeeally good.

It took me 3 days to recover.

It would appear that I'm now too old for my drugs :-(

people more gregarious and friendly (at first at least). Can you imagine a wedding or similar where cannabis were the drug of choice? It would encourage introversion, lethargy and boring, self-involved rambling in lieu of conversation. No-one would dance and everyone would eat too much.

Drugs are horses for courses.

I went to a very subtance heavy wedding recently - they were both in their early 20s and she was a model, he was in a band - and the sheer range of drugs there was quite staggering.

I asked the barman how his night went and he told me he'd sold more soft drinks than beer and he wished he'd never opened up.

Also, nothing gets your thirst on like being in that fleeting pleasantly drunk state just before you realise someone has stolen your legs.
