I seem to recall being hugely underwhelmed by it as it had great reviews at the time, in hindsight I think these reviews were based simply on the male lead being the latest hot man in film.

He struck me as ever so slightly downsey.

The soundtrack I have no recollection of.

I agree. He is a bit downsey. Also has rather a nondescript, weak-chinned sort of look to me. But what do I know? The ladies seem to go for him. :shrug:

He's literally the most overrated director ever, at least until your man Chris Nolan came along and ruined Batman by having him talk like a dog off That's Life.
