Arsenal have allowed the fewest shots at their goal this season (85) and yet four other teams have conceded fewer goals.

The defence has a part to play, as does the manager.

Harsh on Chesney then, isn't it.

with several one-on-ones, while a team like Chelsea only (more or less) allow shots from outside the box because of a concerted defensive effort?

Is it not reasonable to suggest that the goalie is not the sole determining factor in the outcome you are describing?

Stats like this are very reductive.

Just to make an assumption on two bare statistics without applying any form of analysis to it is ridiculous. If a team only has two efforts on goal but they are both free headers from about six yards and both go in, you are saying that the defence has done its job and the keeper is at fault?

this season so far....I do agree with the fact that of the defence does not do anything right there would be less chance for him to keep it out...but then, there surely would be more shots on goal wouldn't there?
