View Full Version : Never mind the Fan TV troglodytes. Arsene has now been bantered off twice in a week

What if Louis slams some ****housery on him next game? 7-0? :-(

Or at least the manner in which it was delivered.

Of course Merson is a bit of a f**king eejit but I do think Arsene could and should have handled it better (based on the bit I read).

I agree though, he should've just ignored the born-again chelsea fan, he's clearly retarded.

manage is quite impressive giving some of the witterings from the challenged one

Still one of my favourite ever players though (Merse not Arsene, who a leetle bit short of quality)

To give the lad his due credit I think the Splendor of Arigone has upped the level of word****ery on here to a new level.

We all need to step up.

Wright, Merson and Adams all seem developmentally challenged

How was the rugby on Saturday?

It was more the comments that came out in the interview where he dismissed the comments and views of any person that had never managed which I found pitiful.

There is a way to deal with these things, the so called "class" that so many people cling to and dearly love to beat others with due to perceived lack of.

Arsene could simply have said he (Merson or others) were entitled to their views while simultaneously absolutiely ignoring them.

A decent first half although we did the usual ****ting the bed close to the try line.

I don get the Brad Barritt selection. Your centers need to be more than just a tackling machine.

I had to call my wife to find out the score.

Later, I had a fight.

So yes, very good day thank you.

suggest. Namely he was picking out - for want of a better example - pundits who do a retard Rich and not get beyond saying such and such is **** and that is **** and he is **** etc etc with no ability to offer anything constructive. Merson's outburst was quite frankly beyond pathetic

AW, for all his cerebral intellect, offers very little in the way of culpability or a game plan to address the glaring problems that are laregly of his own making.

Simply lost to a very good team. Farrell can f**k off though - I'm bored with him. Outstanding forward effort - very impressed with Attwood. Think you are a bit harsh on Barritt, he is a very competent rugby player aside from his defensive qualities. I think we have to be realistic and say our best centre pairing is him at 12 with Tuilagi outside him - all the others have talent but not consistency or their wea.

Then again my pre-match comment on the team was what f**king point was it picking a winger who can only go sideways and he promptly scores a great try within two minutes :-)

Indeed, most were of the opinion that had we ought one the previous summer, we may well have won the league.

Farrell not having played much recently. You have to wonder if Andy being a part of the coaching setup is having a bearing on his selection.

I guess we could see a Tuilagi/Burgess pairing :cloud9:

The manager enjoys a groundswell of support when things are going well and must therefore expect critisism when the opposite occurs.
It's a sport like any other and the same metrics apply concerning winning and losing. I don't understand why so many of us get so embroiled in the detail. It's not our place. We're fans with an opinion, which counts for very little with the players or managers.
You don't need to have an encyclopedic knowledge of the game to see what's unravelling.
Last season we were more stable at the back. Without those same players, we're far more weak and vulnerable.

is not in fact our defensive personnel, but the lack of cohesion upfront.

As a layperson you aren't in any position to know this. So your claim to be able to see with clarity "what's unravelling" is not credible.

to a cross with four Arsenal defensive players around him while standing and gawping at each other
Whatever arguments you may have about the forward play, that was an example of total defensive confusion.
Keown made some very vaild arguments on Saturday about our defence, by which I don't just mean the back four.
You may want to pause a moment and take them in.

pace and then our fourth choice centre back was beaten in the air

As for having seven men ahead of the ball when 1-0 up with 15 minutes to go, sure there are some teams who wouldn't get caught in such a position, but then there's some who would.

I remember when we beat Barcelona at the Emirates and they were bombing forward at 1-1. Check out how many players they had ahead of the ball when Arshavin scored.

The problem is not that we're not Chelsea. It's that we're not Barcelona.

Unless of course you'd rather we were Chelsea than Barcelona, in which case fair enough.

Having two first choicers out for a sustained period is somewhat unlucky.

Even unluckier when it's the one area of your team that is a little bit short in numbers.
