Some navel-gazing by Koenig; a chat with some hippy-dippy defence lawyer who specialises in getting obviously guilty murderers off (whose legal team clutch at various straws and then declare themselves convinced of his innocence. And, after all this waffle, she then infuriatingly says she won't be digging into Jay until next week.

Seriously, the bloody woman is starting to annoy the f**k out of me. :-(

leaving a big break before Q1 deadlines next year. Means I hardly get a break between June and now but have 21 days of holiday in the next two months :-)

Obviously there is stuff I can do like try to find my desk under the 50 or Coke cans that line it

It was a big old tease episode but oh well.

I imagine Adnan gleefully listening in prison chopping up some washing powder coke to sling.

2. What he adds to a discussion is invariably either, 'I don't know' or, 'I don't really care'.

3. He's foreign. What's our football got to do with him?

otherwise enjoy - but of course, such irritations often add to one's enjoyment of such things. It's the familiarity, I think. There I am, after work, glass of red, Guardian Football Weekly, feeding the cats, chopping onions, crushing garlic, frying the soffrito, all warm, cosy and familiar, and every week that same feeling of mild irritation at thon Glendenning. It probably adds, rather than subtracts.

He is often quite snippy about The Arsenal as well.

I always like to spin these situations to a pub scenario and if there was a pub bore ****er who annoyed your *******s one week then the following week you are unlikely to take your place at the bar beside him.

You see I don't even know who the wee f**ker is but your continued bitch moaning about him and it almost feels like I have had a pint with the man.

Considering how much he annoys you, why do you read his stuff?

I think some Irish lad used to play there in the 50s(?) which garnered them a lot of fans on your patch. Obviously I am aware of the more recent connections

The warped and demented spewings of Jones and his acolytes have been washing over us for so long now that they have become culturally acceptable. On the one hand this is sad because of the way the greasy-haired leftists have eroded basic decency within society - for example, men wearing sports shoes whilst not engaged in sporting activity, or going out wearing a t-shirt in place of a shirt and tie, even, God help us, in restaurants... there are a million examples - but the real danger is that the more this insidious Stalinist rhetoric becomes acceptbale, the more danger there is that such an extremist goivernment will be elected. This is how it happened in Germany in the '30s, and it's not that far from happeneing here.

It just feels important, even if one is the last bastion, to kick against the apparently overwhelming tide of destructive nonsense.

Your average saturday morning in Dublin Airport sees pockets of supporters here and there, the large clubs obviously well represented.

These f**kers were basically responsible for a brand new flight channel (or whatever the appropriate term is).

Not so many these days.

As if you were either, a) genuinely excited by your hatred, or b) trying to offend someone watching who bears an admiration for the artist.

Now I know you'd never be gratuitously offensive, so it must be a).

The subject comes up, I comment. I am aware of but do not seek out his work. God knows there has been times in musical history when it was difficult to avoid the output of the likes of him.

You on the other hand, appear to actively make an effort to read his work to then get angry and vent. If you don't read his work then you are commenting from a position of ignorance which I very much doubt you would.
