After the third goal went in Arteta came across to Wenger and asked to come off as he was injured.

So instead of telling him to sit on the floor until substitution was ready he just let him carry on and was on the pitch injured when they scored the first.

This is not the first time wenger has left injured players on the pitch

and also his view after the game that tiredness crept in. is his fault we only have 4 fit defenders and we are not able to give them breaks.

Each year he does the same .. under invests and a couple of injuries mean players are over played and tiredness and injuries creep up on the squad.

why on earth the fans and press are giving wenger an easy ride is beyond me

ridiculously hard time from many supporters and pretty much all the media. It's just a matter of perspective.

that could be true , but for three years we have needed a defensive midfield player with pace and stature and going into the season with 6 defenders , with our injury record has been totally negligent.

his so called achievements of the top four trophy could and should have been so much better.. we may not have any more silverware but at least we could have competed and had a chance of better

and about to qualify from our champions league group. Again.

Just how **** must all the other managers be who never achieve these things?

you obviously know the bits about us moving to a new stadium which we funded ourselves through incredible transfer dealings which remarkably, didn't prevent us qualifying for the CL (the ultimate achievement for other clubs similar to us)

When Spurs lost Bale for big money, they blew it on dross and failed to get back in. They've managed it just one year.

Liverpool lost Suraez, also for big money, and look like they will struggle to finish top 4 this year

We continually lost one or two of our best players every year and he kept us at a consistent level. He is an incredible, selfless manager

...best let him do what he does do well, build stadiums ,balance the books etc...and get a football coach who know about football to run the team.....

you're entirely level-headed? Your judgement seems a little effected here, as if emotions were interfering.

If so, don't worry about it. It happens to everyone on occasion. It could be tiredness, or stress, or alcohol, or just that tempus fugit and the flesh becomes weaker.

Their latest missive apparently, although what it has to do with the price of knock-off Arsenal replica tat in China remains unclear.

Mind you, I only really ever make risotto alla funghi, and I've been off that for a while.

What sort of risotto are you making?

I suspect this is where I get my bi-weekly telling off about loyalty and ours v theirs.

A campaign in which we have stuttered along somewhat, especially in Europe which seems to hold a serious fixation for some people.

Not me I should add. Our involvement in this competition holds very little real love for me. It's simply a cash cow and we have already received our cash chips.

In reality, in football, past achievements count for little other than to afford the person or club a cushion which Wenger has been given in the form of a new 3 year contract.
