alexis was amazing today -- so slippery and hungry. but the rest of our attack looked really good as well (except for santi having lost his range). welbeck was menacing in the first half, beginning to impose himself on defenders. i often forget how athletic he is and how strong in the upper body. the ox was a livewire -- always bursting to try something. chambers got forward really well several times.
back four ok -- some moments but did the job. it helped that arteta and flamini started off quite deep. we need a replacement in the squad for arteta soon. he's slowed down too much and often seems on the verge of a mistake.
if we had drawn, arsene would have taken flak for leaving arteta on so long. but as it turned out, looks like he timed the substitution right.
