This graphic shows London’s football clubs by popularity on Twitter from August 2013 – May 2014. Each square, which represents 500m x 500m, is coloured according to the football club with the most tweeted hashtag in that area

although their diffuse support might match ours overall. Has anyone counted all the dots?

It suggests that Arsenal do have a meaningful relation with their local area - something also shown in the FA cup parade, and tbh, something that is obvious when living here. Whatever the jibes of visiting fans might be.

than Spurs for example. It wouldn't be unusual for supporters from other clubs to tweet about a Chelsea game whilst it's taking place.

I see football primarily as a game played on the pitch, that being the fundamentally important issue.

Things like being in charge of North London may hold a degree of importance, certainly for those who live there and who have it as part of their everyday life, but our control of said area is borne out on the pitch.

f**k all to do with hashtags and twitter.
