I'm looking forward to the catharsis where he does something desperate to attract attention.

I used to find it extraordiary that people would voluntarily subject themselves to his self-inflating, boorish buffoonery every morning.

I guess the thing is that people will just do as they're told and like what they're given almost regardless of what it is. The proof seems to be that, when it goes away as in this case, no-one actually cares or misses it. They just carry on listening to whatever other ****e replaces it because they're programmed to.
