A chum of mine pointed out to me yesterday that we had only won twice in the league which I initially thought was rot and then I realised it wasn't.

Few bright sparks but ultimately very average.

In two words, Wenger out.

I wouldn't want to force the man out but equally I wouldn't give two f**ks if he walked tomorrow.

Arrived Bali today. Have seen nothing but the hotel at the moment but will let you know when the week is up. So far, after 6 hours, I can say the food is good and the cocktails wonderful.

As we did before Wenger.

Just wanting to dispel this ridiculous notion that a lot of people seem to have that he is the only man that can ever manage us.

I am sure you will get this, you're an intelligent lad.

people are already on his case. It's certainly been a disappointing start to the season, but we are still only a handful of games in.

It’s in the past now, history etc, as was the somewhat glorious period from 98-2004 when we grew ridiculously accustomed to success.

What’s important now is simply the future and for whatever reason I cannot convince myself that he is the man for the next 3 years so had he decided to walk away in June at the end of his contract I would not have cared a jot. That is not to say he is a poor manager or whatever and of course when I say things like “Wenger out” it is not said with 100% sincerity.

I’d like to see change at the club and what it brings, this was discussed a week or two ago when perhaps you were away. Of course the change may result in a slight change in fortune but you know with being a football supporter you just run with it. Won’t change anything with regards to support of the club.

And for the record I am not 'on his case'. He is the manager for the next 3 years so good luck to the man.

It is precisely at this point now where you point out that me convincing myself is completely irrelevant and all your usual abusive guff. So carry on.

*why* you want change, nor what that change would actually be (beyond a new name and face).

I think he made huge errors in the summer in terms of his activity in the transfer market, while the business he did was excellent there was other (to me very obvious) issues he did not address.

I like the idea or concept of a new innovative manager with fresh ideas, particularly one that is given a squad as hugely talented and full of promise which Wenger would currently give to his successor.

I think our seasons are now hugely predictable, same old same though none could have seen the quite mediocre way in which we have started this year (results wise at least).

a higher level of player and may be better able to retain the ones we already have?

Given how well he knows the club and what he's achieved with us until now, surely that makes a fair bit of sense rather than giving the booty straight to another guy?

It's hardly as if Wenger is presiding over us free-falling into mediocrity, so it's not like he's gonna end up doing untold damage.

Whereas a new manager, whoever it is, is an unknown quantity and as we have seen at other clubs, anything can happen.

five 35 million-plus players in the squad :cloud9:

Then no doubt some c**t like Klopp will come in and take all the glory.

If you read back I have said I am not calling for his removal or any ****e lack that.

I simply thought that last summer with the end of his contract it allowed for a very polite and respectful parting of ways, his legacy intact and a fantastic platform at club and first team level left for the next man.

We have a fantastic squad of players, I would be curious to see what a different manager with different ideas would do with them.

Your scenario suggesting a new one each summer but with none of the players leaving.
