Football fans are passionate let's appeal to them :hehe:

It's almost like they've asked me to come up with the policies.

those businesses are run, exactly? And are they planning to do this in any other areas of business? I shop at Tesco, for instance. I therefore feel I have a right to dictate their buying policy.

f**kssake. :shakehead:

I mean absolutely everyone outside the party could see that Ed Milliband was electoral poison, but they went and chose him anyway. Same goes for some of the pre-Cameron Tory choices, of course. It's like some sort of mass self-delusion takes place.

Quote:

Celebrity Labour peer Lord Sugar has called for Ed Miliband to be replaced as party leader – by Gordon Brown.

The Apprentice star said Mr Brown had been handed a ‘bad deal’ after taking over as Prime Minister from Tony Blair in 2007 just before the economic crash.

Lord Sugar welcomed the former PM’s return to the Commons today – where he spearheaded the Labour’s opposition to Tory plans to ban Scottish MPs voting on English laws.

He added: ‘I wish he’d come back as leader of the Labour Party to be honest with you.’

He told Iain Dale’s LBC radio show: ‘He took over from Blair in 2008 or 2007 when the real problems in the world economy broke and he got the blame, as far as England is concerned.

‘It’s absolutely wrong. It wasn’t his fault.’

I think he's bantering us off with absolute ****housery.

every time you go into Tescos and buy something you are effectively deciding their purchasing and buying strategy.

They listen to their customers.
They stock what their customers want to buy (that's why the Tescos in Hayes has a far higher stock level and greater range of authentic Indian foods than the Tescos in the Meadows down Nic's way)

Arsenal don't give a flying f**k about what we think. The only time they will take notice is when the stands are half empty, the season ticket waiting list is 0 months and the money stops rolling in.

Therein lies the difference between a company that depends on winning it's customer base and one that takes it for granted because of the strong emotional and tribal ties that are out of its control.

I still refuse to believe they chose him thinking they could win. Surely they couldn't have, surely they were stoned or something.

"pppppppfff, and like, we'll put like Ed Balls in as Shadow Chancellor just in case we get close to winning"

"noooooooooooooo, seriously? Don't you think they'll suspect if we do that?"

Labours ideas are bunkum and populist at best.
At worst they are transparent garbage that a 5 year old could see through.
Whatever happened to the Socialist Labour party that fought for real solutions to real issues.
Where's their policies for taking on the ******* polluting fossil fuel mammoths
Where's their policies for ensuring water and energy supply affordable to all.
Turncoat c**ts, red flag blue hearts, Blairs deception lives on in a the Cain and Abel show

Seriously though, Cooper, Burnham, Chuka "Khan" Umunna, Stella Creasey.

No, let's just persist with the personalities of Harperson, Balls and Gromit.

Should never have got into bed with the Tories, gone and caught a massive dose off of Cameron and will be blamed by the left for not being strong enough and by the right for being too weak.
 no sympathy

As soon as football fans start withdrawing their custom, they'll have a similar level of power. Until they have the balls to do that, they should shut the f**k up like the good little consumers they are.

This idea that 'football is different' is bull****. It's only as different as the customers choose to make it. If you want to change something, you have to be prepared to withdraw or transfer custom.

could get.

Deputy leader means you have no portfolio and aren't actually required to talk about any actual policy areas.

Started reeling off facts about how many actors have played Ben Mitchell

Ended up admitting he does not watch, but had looked up facts online

See, I would have expected "well, if you're to the left of Harriet Harman there's no way you're going to be elected".

Good variety

while Stella Creasey is too young and attractive (which, oddly enough, is a disadvantage in a female politician as it means men don't take you seriously and women hate you).

that football fans don't change allegiances.
Football clubs know and exploit this.
I agree that the fans get what they deserve in that respect' from a purely commercial viewpoint, but isn't there also a case to be made that they should have a voice in the way the clubs fleece them?.

You will walk away from Tescos, will you walk away from The Arsena?
