the no-talking rule on public transport. Yaffa-yadda-yadda. By foreigners I include people from Yorkshire and posh students, obviously.

Can we not put up large signs on all approaches to London explaining the rules?

1. Stand on the right on escalators.
2. Let the passengers off the train first.
3. Do not block the entrances to the platform. And while you're at it, could you also not block the entire pavement outside your language schools please?
4. Shut up.

At least on the tube there's no mobile phone signal, thank god. On buses they don't even need a travelling companion to natter to. :-(

This might be a repost.

Lots of them in the city centre and a large number of them seem to share my Luas line in the morning.

And we speak Irish, not Gaelic. That young man is a type of football.
