View Full Version : I actually forgot about the match yesterday. Remembered as I was going to bed at about 11.30.

Quick look at the result, a shrug of the shoulders and off to sleep.

By far the best way of experiencing our matches against Chelsea.

It's one thing to not want to see the match it's another thing altogether to forget about the Arsenal playing.

'Ave a word. Or was it a case of repression because of the traumatic impact of our losses to Chelsea in the past?

Not watching is definitely the way to go :hehe:

after 'that' Bolton game in 2003 that I was never again going to allow football to ruin my day/weekend. My life has been much happier since then.

Still mourning.

Instead I have experienced nothing but a slight sense of disappointment that we couldn't scrape a draw.

I certainly won't be watching the highlights.

You do realise this is the act of an utter mental, don't you?

Forgotten in an instant, get on with it.

We were the beneficiaries of a much clearer penalty not being given in the City game for instance but not many people chose to dwell on that when looking back at what was seen as a great point.

always-already know the outcome. Is it not precisely that feeling that makes you watch the thing in the first place?

* I may just have made that up

In other words, a wise and sensible precaution.

Had we won yesterday, I'd have had a quick bit of joy, followed by delicious anticipation of watching the recording, safe in the knowledge that nothing bad was going to happen. Can't see what's wrong with that, tbh.
