the likes of City and Chelsea for the big prize.

Leicester and spurs. Draws at everton and against city were decent points, today we were always going to lose.

4th place is never going to be easy ever again. It is just so competitive now because there are six clubs of a decent size who are desperate for it.

And the inflexible approach to the tactical side are bigger problems...and ones that cant be solved with money.

Market.

I womt defend our transfer record because i have been hugely criticial of it in the past (and was furious about not signing another defender this summer) but no amount of money is going to give us a free run at first.

But I don't think time is on his side any longer and I think he's reached the limits of his managerial ability.
The club's crying out for change and a fresh approach.

Liverpool were a slip from winning it last year.

with the money that is generates...
Apparently - as of August 2014 - we are sitting on 207M in cash.

And we don't have a squad to compete on all fronts...but the cash is just sitting there doing nothing...

Midweek games or injuries they almost pulled it off.

Part of my point was that the money on its own wont solve the problem because everyone else has it, and more of it.

Until we sort this injury thing out, develop a way of countering the pressing game and appreciate the need for a mix of strengths in a balanced squad we wont get close to winning the league, even if spend 100 million a year.

Its every season, year after year. It isnt bad luck and it never seems to get better.
