try and stretch the Chelsea back four.

We've just played the ball into midfield time and time again and they have just been waiting for us.

Massive improvement by the souns of it. You are even suggesting that there were points where we even had the ball :-)

prior to that we usually dominated possession in these big games and lost because of moments of ****ness by ourselves or brilliance from the other team.

That's the story of today really.

And we always, always play exactly the same way.

I will take a return to the toothless defeats over the hammerings.

We supposedly have a very strong attack. We offered nothing. We kept playing the ball into midfield and getting bullied out of it. It is as if they were expecting us to do that and were lying in wait. Go figure. We didn't even try to turn their defence at any point.

We defended ok tbf, but we are only doing what the players should be doing anyway. Calling this an improvement on last season and being happy about it is a bit silly.

As for Ozil :-(

Possession football, fail to break their defence, lose to a counter attack goal

We were never going to beat chelsea they are too good for us. I am happy, whether it is silly or not.

If we are now a club that is happy to narrowly lose a game then that shows how far we have fallen... even in the last 4 years

Plus.

It isnt as if we addressed the problems that got exposed last season.

Ok, nobody likes losing but at least we were not blown out of the water inside 15 minutes.

You should try not watching. I thoroughly enjoyed it :-)
