Quite a display of small town behaviour. Something Norwich would do ... but what the heck.

Chiefs reclaim record for the world's loudest outdoor stadium

During the second quarter of their Monday night showdown against the New England Patriots, the Chiefs reclaimed the record for the world’s loudest outdoor stadium.

A representative from Guinness was on hand at Arrowhead Stadium to confirm that the noise level reached 142.2 decibels, surpassing the previous record of 137.6 which was set by Seattle last season.

The Seahawks, of course, broke the Chiefs' record of 137.5, which they set against Oakland. With Monday's result, the ball is again in Seattle's court.

Just a full throated yell from 75,000. We don't sing. We chant sometimes with pithy slogans like "Bull****! Bull****!"

One game, when the refs were f**king it up, I chanted "You don't know what you're doing. You don't know what you're doing." People turned around and gave me strange looks... and these were people with face paint and funny hats. I was the weirdo!

There is generally no focus on the game, it's all about constantly entertaining the people in the stands with games, competitions, chants, etc. etc.

I nearly had an anxiety attack about the kiss cam landing on me during the game.
2/3 of the people there seemed to be absent during the first eight innings as they were all purchasing food and walking around in the mall outside the ground.

Insane ending to the game though, a home run on the last hit which won the Mets the game after trailing the entire game and people went mental. That was nice.

All in all a good experience, would definitely recommend, if only for the hyper-realist spectacle.

They cry for justice, which in their minds means immediately throwing the police officer on death row with no trial or evidence. Oh, and let's loot some local businesses while we're at it.

Can you imagine trying to sell your house with a Ferguson address? Or start a business there? Then they complain about the lack of economic opportunity. It's not your race, folks, it's your actions and your demand that you be treated as one monochrome mass rather than individuals.

162 games total, 81 home games. It would be very difficult for an outsider to "get" the sport and the mood of the crowd as it is very different to football. Much like I woldn't "get" cricket. For many fans it's a chance to do something with the family, especially on a weekend. Others are intensely riveted on every pitch.

However my OP pertained to American Gridiron type football.

Kids getting shot in wall mart for holding a toy gun whilst your average honky can walk around with assault rifles without an eyebrow being raised.

Next you'll be telling me that all you have to do is take a black street kid from somewhere poor like inner-city Philadelphia and plonk him in a place like Bell Air and he'll become one of the most beloved entertainers in the country.

atmosphere. It was a Friday night game and three young, blonde pretty little things in the row right in front of us were using the game as an excuse to get tipsy and have a bit of fun before going out. They were enjoying themselves immensely. And I enjoyed watching them enjoy themselves :pervert:

Police profiling is one aspect that, taken alone, seems like blatant institutional racism. Then you get down to the "real world" issue of policing a community and find that most of the crimes are committed by those of a certain gender, of a certain age, wearing certain clothes .. and of a certain race.

I lean more to a societal solution that involves pride in yourself and your family and taking responsibility.

Here's a fun fact. In 1960, only 9% of African-Americans over the age of 40 had not been married. That number is now 36%. And climbing fast as each year passes.

Again, that oneis easily stated but difficult to actually achieve.

However, in the real world, it's utterly meaningless. Because a thing bears a single similarity to another thing, it doesn't make it in any way equivalent to that thing.

Black slaves wore chains
Black felons wear chains.

Therefore black prisoners are like black slaves.

That is known as a false syllogism.
