A company he owns provided a service which the club bought, for 3 mill.

Now that might be a little creative accounting, maybe the company did bugger all for the money, but that would be illegal - as would overpricing the service.

At 3 mill it's still peanuts though. To put it in perspective, according to David Conn:

"the Glazers imposed 525m debt on Manchester United in 2005, their own borrowings to buy the club as a financial investment, then made the club responsible for paying that debt off. Interest and fees have been approximately 700m since, paid by the club, yet at the last accounts the debt still stood at 349m"

raised for a phony service which sounds plausible but has done nothing. Oldest trick in the book.

I suggest it's just a cynical guess on your part, made to make you look ITK or wise to the ways of the world.

a common way of passing funds to someone you want to do so and has either done nothing or something you don't want known ie rich man's mistress.

And you know for a fact that these services aren't itemised in the accounts?

any article let alone hard evidence that the money AFC paid to one of his companies has or will be passed on to him. I am well aware of how these things work but in this case there is a big leap from the attention grabbing headline to the reality of the facts as stated in the published articles. Nowhere is it stated that SK has personally taken any money from the club apart from in the headline that is unsupported by the article. Regardless of what you or I or anyone else may suspect the case to be the article does not provide any evidence or facts to support the assertion in its headline.

The debt servicing is a different issue and I'm eternally grateful stan didn't load the debt of buying us onto the club afterwards.

I assumed that any work that could go through one of Kroenke's companies already would be.

Meanwhile, 3mill is such petty cash to Kroenke that I can't see why the hell he'd be dipping his fingers, if that was what he was doing.

yes 3million is such a paltry figure for Kronke, but as with everything begin with a small steps, firstly it would be 3M and now he will see what sort of response will it be.

But the question is, what can a mere fans can know or do?
